FSK DUCT WRAP

Fiberglass duct insulation and insulation blankets are composed of highly resilient glass fibers bonded with a powerful resin. Depending on your application our ductwork insulation is available with either a foil scrim kraft, polypropylene scrim kraft or vinyl vapor retarders. Designed specifically as an external duct insulation wrap for heating or air conditioning ducts, our insulation wraps are easy to measure and install and thus offer substantial savings in labor costs. In addition, duct wrap insulation increases whole-system efficiency, thereby lowering operating costs for the entire heating or cooling system. In addition to fiberglass heating pipe insulation, we offer closed cell insulation and rubber duct wrap sheets for more versatile applications requiring comprehensive anti-condensation, anti-frost support. Our rubber sheet heating duct insulation wrap is also key in preventing heat loss on hot equipment, ducts or large pipes.

Ductwork Insulation Basic Info

  • Fiberglass Ductwork Insulation is a thermal and acoustical insulation blanket made from highly resilient, inorganic glass fibers bonded with thermosetting resin. It is available with a foil-scrim-kraft (FSK), a metalized polypropylene-scrim-kraft (PSK), or with white or grey vinyl vapor retarders. Vapor retarders provide a 2'' staple flange on one edge. The FSK and PSK have markings on the staple flange for easy and accurate job site measurements.


  • Ductwork Insulation is an external insulation on commercial and residential heating or air conditioning ducts. It is suitable for the exterior of rectangular or round sheet metal ducts and spaces or surfaces where temperature and condensation must be controlled. It has excellent acoustical properties, has great energy conservation, and condensation control.


  • Insul-Sheet and Therma-cel Sheet closed cell insulation also retard heat flow and prevent condensation on ducts, large O.D. pipes, and other cold equipment.


  • 3M 15A Duct Wrap is the top of line in fire protection. It is a fire resistant wrap consisting of a patented inorganic blanket encapsulated with a scrim-reinforced foil, used to fire rate commercial kitchen grease ducts an air ducts and provide an alternative to 1 or 2 hour fire resistant rated shaft enclosures. Insul-Sheet 1800 Sheet Insulation is an environmentally friendly, CFC-free, flexible elastomeric thermal insulation.  It is black in color, marked in blue ink, and available in flat sheets.

Insul-Sheet 1800 Insulation is used to retard heat gain and prevent condensation or frost formation on cold equipment, ducts, or large O.D. pipes.  It also effectively retards heat loss when used on hot equipment, ducts, or large pipes.  .  It is recommended for applications ranging from -70oF to 220oF (-57oC to 104oC) when used as pipe insulation where only the seams and butt joints are glued.  When full adhesion application is used, the upper limit is 200oF (93oC).
